Package: wicd Version: 1.6.1-3 Severity: important At work, I have a hidden wireless unencrypted network. wicd cannot connect and NetworkManager can connect to it.
In wicd, I select the hidden network option and it lists my essid. But then when I connect, it just remains at "Obtaining IP address". My initial impression was that it must have been a problem with either dhclient or the Wireless AP. But the same setup works for all Windows client. And also, as confirmed above, it works with NetworkManager. Hidden wireless networks are common today and having a bug in that feature should justify enough to have this bug marked Important.
