Package: smartmontools Version: 5.38+svn2879-4 Severity: normal I run smartctl in a cron job so it is important that it not create any output unless there is an error. The option --quietmode=errorsonly used to do this for me.
Since a recent upgrade smartctl is verbose even with the option quietmode=errorsonly. Could smartctl respect the option quietmode=errorsonly again? + smartctl --test=short --quietmode=errorsonly /dev/sda1 smartctl 5.39 2009-08-29 r2879 [i686-pc-linux-gnu] (local build) Copyright (C) 2002-9 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net === START OF OFFLINE IMMEDIATE AND SELF-TEST SECTION === Sending command: "Execute SMART Short self-test routine immediately in off-line mode".
