Link Widgets (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2933) is one of my favorite iceweasel/firefox extensions. It provides widgets the user can put on toolbars, for navigating a page hierarchy ("up", "next", "previous" etc). Targets are found in several ways -- guessing by URL (e.g. cutting a path component for up, incrementing a number for next), following <link> elements with the right relations, or even <a href="..."> links with the right descriptive contents. For some time now (I'm not sure if since 3.0) it stopped working on my iceweasel in a mysterious way -- the widgets are still visible, but they are always disabled, as if no suitable target could be found for any of them (when the extension as a whole is disabled, the widgets are simply not shown). I have it working fine on another computer I use, with Firefox 3.0 under OpenSUSE 11.1. I've tested it on my Debian under my user with a fresh profile, and also under a user whose Firefox hasn't been used, and it broke in exactly the same way. On the fresh profile, I made the extra step of disabling all plugins, to no avail. As far as I can see, this leaves only one possible culprit: the Iceweasel packaging.
