(probably all previous versions too).

some of the information displayed by debconf while upgrading the system
is important and needs to be used as a reference while fixing whatever
problem has been mentioned.

unfortunately, the information displayed is transient and disappears
when the user clicks on cancel or OK.

*ALL* dialog boxes displayed by debconf with such information (typically
with just an "OK" or an "OK" & "Cancel" button) should have additional
buttons allowing the user to email or save the info somewhere.

if the user chooses to email the info, it should ask for an email
address - and then keep that address as the default to be used the next
time that debconf asks for an address.

this feature is necessary:
