The Samba (3) suite has had a facelift, but Samba4 has now entered Sid with its old package descriptions intact, full of early-nineties topical references like "LanManager" and "OS/2" and "the next generation"... Samba 3: "SMB/CIFS file, print, and login server for Unix" Samba 4: "LanManager-like file server for Unix (version 4)" They also still label the suite as "_experimental_" and not ready for real use. Is this still true? Will it be true when Samba4 is a candidate for release in Squeeze? If not, you're going to have to change the package descriptions anyway, so please bring them in line with Samba's. -- JBR Ankh kak!
