Hello again! Simply recompiling the libasound2-plugins package solves the problem. It then gets the proper verion number from /usr/include/alsa/pcm_rate.h of the libasound2-dev package.
Do this to ged rid of the error message: apt-src install libasound2-plugins cd alsa-plugins-1.0.20/ fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc cd .. ls *.deb sudo dpkg -i *.deb -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
