I have this problem here with 0.5.9rc2-1 on i386 with aptitude-curses,
too, but running update-apt-xapian-index as root doesn't change
anything.
If I call that a second time, it says:
8/134/0 r...@loadrunner:pts/1 20:21:46 [~] # update-apt-xapian-index
The index /var/lib/apt-xapian-index is up to date
9/0/0 r...@loadrunner:pts/1 20:24:08 [~] #
It always crashes at "Building view 67%" (sometimes also 68%) and the
message then is:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'Xapian::DatabaseOpeningError'
Ouch! Got SIGABRT, dying..
Aborted
The "t" of "terminate" always overlaps the "%" sign on the previous
line (which was the status line at the bottom of aptitude).
