Package: apt Version: 0.7.23.1 Severity: normal
If I have a Sources file I'm experimenting with that has this entry, Package: sbuild-dependencies-resolver Binary: sbuild-dependencies-resolver Version: 0.invalid.0 Priority: extra Section: utils Maintainer: Debian buildd-tools Developers <buildd-tools-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org> Build-Depends: libgl1-mesa-dev [any-i386] Build-Depends-Indep: debhelper Build-Conflicts: nvidia-glx-dev Build-Conflicts-Indep: cdbs Architecture: all Standards-Version: 0.0.0 Format: 1.0 Directory: . Files: 00000000000000000000000000000000 0 sbuild-dependencies-resolver_0.invalid.0.dsc 00000000000000000000000000000000 0 sbuild-dependencies-resolver_0.invalid.0.tar.gz When performing 'apt-get build-dep sbuild-dependencies-resolver', it will not install libgl1-mesa-dev on an i386 machine. Yet if I change the Build-Depends field to, Build-Depends: libgl1-mesa-dev [any-i386] | libgl1-mesa-dev [i386] then libgl1-mesa-dev will be installed on an i386 machine. Wasn't sure what severity to set for this since there's a proposal for debian-policy to include support for architecture wildcards.
