I failed to reproduce the FTBFS with g++ 4.4 and the hardening-wrapper. I wonder it the bug could be related to the combinaison g++ 4.4 / (e)glibc 2.10. I'll wait for (e)glibc 2.10 to enter unstable and i will retry my build tests.
