Package: gdb
Version: 6.8-3
Severity: wishlist

I am planning to upload to Debian some cross toolchains already available at
emdebian.org site. In order for the cross build not having any dependency with
native builds, cross tools build depend on *-source packages (not the best
thing, but the only one we have been able to come up with in order the
autobuilders are able to provide such packages and saving quite space in the
archive avoiding code duplication).

gdb package already has the ability to be built for cross targets, but could we
have a gdb-source package, so avr, z80, armel, mips,... gdb cross target
packages can build depend on? The other option is gdb source package to build
all te needed targets.

Kind Regards,
