Hello Andrew,

The detail you point out is IP-specific.  On the other hand,
the 'services' file is protocol independent (yes, it mostly 
only contains IP-related entries nowadays), and valid port
number range could be different in some protocols.  So,
it's not really appropriate (IMO) to change this man page.
(See by the way ip(7), where the 'u_int16_t' data type makes
clear the 16-bit nature of the port number for IP).
