Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi, just a reminder to remove all nvidia non-free drivers packages from
testing, as they were rendered unusable by Linux 2.6.30's migration to testing.
The packages are [updated]
nvidia-graphics-modules-i386, nvidia-graphics-modules-amd64 and
nvidia-graphics-drivers

Just in case, here's a log of my previous reminder:

was forgotten, the removal of the current series of drivers. could someone
please remove nvidia-graphics-modules-i386, nvidia-graphics-modules-amd64 and
nvi
dia-graphics-drivers.

[dim oct 4 2009] [16:34:52] <luk_> cheal: what are the RC bug numbers that
show that they are broken in testing?
[dim oct 4 2009] [16:39:31] <cheal> luk_:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=520706 (should actually be
grave, and it's erroneously marked as found in 180.44-2)
[dim oct 4 2009] [16:43:53] <luk_> that one is reported against unstable,
but not against testing
[dim oct 4 2009] [16:44:30] <luk_> please make sure there are RC bugs for
them against testing explaining the problems, TIA

[dim oct 4 2009] [16:48:59] <chealer> luk_: that bug affects all previous
versions too. you can see
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=548840 for a duplicate marked
as affecting testing.
[dim oct 4 2009] [16:53:08] <chealer> luk_: oh, and for the other source
packages, they're built from nvidia-graphics-drivers. you can just look at the
binary packages built to see they're outdated. there are bugs reporting the
issue
s with an underrated severity, but there's no need for a proper RC bug report
to remove them, you can just see debcheck.
