I can confirm this problem. My station is installed with RAID5 on 3 discs.
To my big surprise, I could not boot after the upgrade. Each 2 or 3 attemps to boot, the system boots but stop on an unrecoverable error on fsck. Could you revert to the older mdadm until you tackle the problem. Tommorrow I will boot with a live CD, chroot and revert to the olde mdadm.
