Yes - but any partition with a legacy bootloader is identified as
"Windows" by Apple's GUI choser, which is very confusing.

Also having to hold down the option key is a bother as the machine
can't boot without the user attending.

Additionally, rEFIt comes with a set of EFI tools, of which gptsync
can save you if you do some partitioning changes and forget to run
gptsync from the OS before rebooting.

The legacy BIOS will remain on Apple machines until Windows supports
EFI or Mac OS X overtakes Windows in terms of marketshare, whichever
comes first.

All in all, that's a couple years from now.
