1) The 'debdelta' Debian package installs four
    executables (in /usr/bin/) :
  'debdelta' 'debpatch' 'debdeltas' 'debdelta-upgrade' .

When you say «debdelta should use `dpkg-repack'»
do you mean '/usr/bin/debdelta' ? (in case, goto 2)
or do you mean '/usr/bin/debdelta-upgrade' ? (in case, goto 3)

2) '/usr/bin/debdelta' needs two files, the old deb
and the new deb ; in your above phrase,
 «to get instaled ...»
do you refer to the old or to the new deb, or both?

3) currently '/usr/bin/debdelta-upgrade' upgrades packages that
are installed, regardless of what is or is not
in /var/cache/apt/archives/ . So I do not understand why it should
use 'dpkg-repack' ... please explain your idea to me

a.
