Package: libpam-modules Version: 1.1.0-4~bpo50+1 Severity: important Tags: patch
This bug applies in the following context : Trying to backport libpam* packages to Lenny from Squeeze sources. (That's why the package is named with the bpo tag) ==> The bug has been discovered on Squeeze release for pam packages. Version 1.1.0-4. In this pam_version, the lib pam_tally2.so is available. Normally, the binary pam_tally2 should be installed in order to manipulate the counters generated by the library but it seems that this binary is not installed with the Squeeze package. Indeed, the pam_tally2 installation is not declared in the libpam-modules.install file in the debian directory. On my system, this attached patch correct the bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libpam-modules depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.24 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdb4.6 4.6.21-11 Berkeley v4.6 Database Libraries [ ii libpam0g 1.1.0-4~bpo50+1 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libselinux1 2.0.65-5 SELinux shared libraries libpam-modules recommends no packages. libpam-modules suggests no packages. -- debconf information: libpam-modules/disable-screensaver:
