Let me add some more details. This FTP session was not a nasty
attempt to crash or flood ProFTPd in any way. It was just a simple
session made by Nagios via check_ftpget.pl, which basically connects,
logs in and gets a 50kB file.

We've also noticed that this script does not properly logout, this
might help you.

This script is launched every 4 minutes.

We've noticed that this bug happens every few hours when the server is
in production with version -10 and above. It just fills the memory
and proftpd is killed by the kernel. This is the first time we can
get information about that crash before the process is automatically
killed.
