Package: byobu
Version: 2.34-1
Severity: normal

This problem is affecting me, too. A little investigation shows that
this bug is fixed upstream in Ubuntu (version 2.36-0ubuntu1). The
relevant information can be found here:

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/byobu/+bug/440221

and all that seems to be required at this point is for the maintainer to
move the new version into unstable.
