strong ACK. I just wanted to updated my system with just a couple of packages and my decision did block the dpkg database for ages (until the process was finished). Imagine that happen on dist-upgrade from one to another stable release ... if one important system service was stopped by package upgrade and now libsnmp- base is fetching the whole RFCs and IANA docs, which take a lot, the service outage is not acceptable. Most of my dist-upgrades to lenny was faster than the MIB download. Thanks and with kind regards, Jan. -- Never write mail to <w...@spamfalle.info>, you have been warned! -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GIT d-- s+: a C+++ UL++++ P+ L+++ E--- W+++ N+++ o++ K++ w--- O M V- PS PE Y++ PGP++ t-- 5 X R tv- b+ DI D+ G++ e++ h---- r+++ y++++ ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------
