Package: vnc4server Version: 4.1.1+X4.3.0-31 Severity: normal
Whenever I use x0vncserver to view my desktop from home, it's quiet unusable. The screen blanks every few seconds. Serverside, a message is prompted, corresponding to the event : Timer: time has moved forwards! I have no problem with vncserver. Perhaps because a new X and new desktop is started... On the desktop I try to use with x0vncserver, I use KDE 3.5, the proprietary nvidia driver with dual screen. I've installed the sid version (4.1.1+X4.3.0-32) on my Lenny and it works better. No more screen blanking, but the message "Timer: time has moved forwards!" is still there. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (102, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-bpo.2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages vnc4server depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxtst6 2:1.0.3-1 X11 Testing -- Resource extension ii x11-common 1:7.3+20 X Window System (X.Org) infrastruc ii xbase-clients 1:7.3+20 miscellaneous X clients - metapack ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages vnc4server recommends: ii xfonts-base 1:1.0.0-5 standard fonts for X Versions of packages vnc4server suggests: pn vnc-java <none> (no description available) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
