Package: alsa-base Version: 1.0.17.dfsg-4 Severity: normal Dear Sir,
All new machines are doing this issue under testing and unstable debian. The problem was never reported under Debian Stable. I plug m microphone, and start the pc, and get no sound. I restart without the usb microphone plug and I get sound. the problem is that /dev/dsp and /dev/dsp1 are inverted. there is no installer or configurator to switch them. and it shall be first the card and after the USB in the order. please correct the issue and leave it like it was in previous debian version . here my lsusb: $ lsusb -t Bus# 7 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0002 Bus# 6 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0001 Bus# 5 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0001 `-Dev# 2 Vendor 0x046d Product 0x0928 Bus# 4 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0001 `-Dev# 2 Vendor 0x0556 Product 0x0001 Bus# 3 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0002 Bus# 2 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0001 Bus# 1 `-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x1d6b Product 0x0001 `-Dev# 2 Vendor 0x147a Product 0xe019 lsusb Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 002: ID 046d:0928 Logitech, Inc.
