Thanks, the x86_64 image built fine.

I'll try the i386 build using:

CONCURRENCY_LEVEL=32 DEB_HOST_ARCH=i386 MAKEFLAGS="CC=gcc-4.4" make-kpkg
--initrd --config menuconfig --arch i386 --cross-compile - linux-image

(all on one line)


OK, I've successfully booted from both images.
