Start pavucontrol.
Start alsamixer in a window.
Go to the pavucontrol Output Devices tab.

Slide the Front volume sliders right and left and watch what happens with the 
alsamixer display.

Current behavior:
* Between silence and base, the ALSA Master slider moves from 0% to 100%.
* Between base and max, the ALSA Speaker slider moves from 50% to 100%

Expected behavior:
* The ALSA Speaker slider is my PC-Speaker.  It should just be muted at all 
times.

I downloaded alsa-info.sh...
