How do you know it is no longer developed?  I see nothing indicating
this on <URL: http://svk.bestpractical.com/view/HomePage >.

I see there is a new upstream release on CPAN (2.2), released last
year.

Perhaps it is a better idea to ask for adoption, as the svk package is
very useful with the etcinsvk package?
