Package: pm-utils Version: 1.2.6.1-2 Severity: normal pm-utils 1.2.6.1-2 patched on_ac_power to try devicekit-power:
* Add 03-on_ac_power-devkit-power.patch: Try to contact DeviceKit-Power in on_ac_power, and if it succeeds, use that. Otherwise fall back to hal. However, pm-utils doesn't actually *ship* on_ac_power, preferring instead to use the version from powermgmt-base. The version from pm-utils uses hal, and with this change also devicekit-power. The version from powermgmt-base checks /sys, PMU, and APM directly. It looks like these versions need merging into some common implementation, probably the one in powermgmt-base for use by other packages. pm-utils could then drop the recommendation for hal (and not add one for devicekit-power as proposed in my previous bug report). - Josh Triplett -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pm-utils depends on: ii kbd 1.15.1-1 Linux console font and keytable ut ii powermgmt-base 1.30+nmu1 Common utils and configs for power Versions of packages pm-utils recommends: ii hal 0.5.13-6 Hardware Abstraction Layer pn radeontool <none> (no description available) pn vbetool <none> (no description available) Versions of packages pm-utils suggests: ii cpufrequtils 006-2 utilities to deal with the cpufreq ii uswsusp 0.8-1.1+b1 tools to use userspace software su -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
