Can the error/warning message be changed from
"PAM adding faulty module:" to "PAM adding faulty or nonexistant module:"

That would clarify the log files quite a bit.

It’s in libpam-gnome-keyring, which is a suggested package:

Versions of packages gdm suggests:
pn  libpam-gnome-keyring          <none>     (no description available)

Unfortunately there is no way to enable the module for GDM only when it
is installed.

The warnings are harmless, though.
