Hello, I confirm this bug - out of my 9 Debian Testing (i.e. Squeeze now) installations 4 have/had this bug (none of the global extensions are/were visible in Iceweasel).
In 3 cases the bug showed as wrong chmod 700 for 2 directories: /usr/lib/mozilla/extensions/ /usr/lib/mozilla/ In 1 case only /usr/lib/mozilla/extensions/ had wrong access rights. Resetting them to 755 fixes/fixed the bug and all globally installed extensions are immediately visible in Iceweasel.
