Do you still have these problems with Adobe Flash Player version
10,0,42,34 ? I tried some videos at youtube, and the "play" and "pause"
buttons seem to work fine.

Could you try again, and mention the Adobe Flash Player versions you
tried ? Note that there are multiple versions available at
labs.adobe.com, so what works with one version might not work with
another...

Does this problem still occur with 10,0,42,34 ? If yes, could you tell
us a few examples ?
