Package: blender
Version: 2.49.2~dfsg-1
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Hello,

sliding a cursor crashes my system : screen becomes black, keyboard does not
respond (for example, pressing CAPS LOCK does not light the LED), I can still
access the computer through the network but did not manage to restore anything
and had to do a "poweroff" ("fsck" needed on reboot).

Procedure for reproducing the crash :
SPACE > Add > Mesh > Cube
n -> transform properties
try to slide a cursor -> crash

Running blender with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 prevents the crash.
If you could help to solve this problem, it would be nice.

Best regards.
