Nelson, The following is the reason why sqlmap has not been updated to the latest release on Debian, yet.

Please note that the binaries contained in a package must be buildable (at the debian/rules build time) and even if the source code cointains a generated binary file it must be ignored when generating the package. Also if it includes binary files, it can't be architecture all. Anyway, if the source is available and buildable with debian tools, it might be feasible to split the package in sqlmap and sqlmap-udf (assuming the udf files are optional), and set the correct architecture to sqlmap-udf. --8<-- On Mon, Dec 14, 2009 at 23:06, Nelson A. de Oliveira <nao...@debian.org> wrote: > Package: sqlmap > Version: 0.6.4-1 > Severity: wishlist > > Hi again! > > And would be good to have it updated to the latest version :-) > > Thank you! > > Best regards, > Nelson > > -- System Information: > Debian Release: squeeze/sid > APT prefers unstable > APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') > Architecture: i386 (i686) > > Kernel: Linux 2.6.32.naoliv1 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) > Locale: LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) > Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash > > Versions of packages sqlmap depends on: > ii python 2.5.4-4 An interactive high-level > object-o > ii python-support 1.0.6 automated rebuilding support for > P > > sqlmap recommends no packages. > > sqlmap suggests no packages. > > -- no debconf information > > > -- Bernardo Damele A.
