Package: wpasupplicant
Version: 0.6.4-3
Followup-For: Bug #546542

Hi,

apparently this bug is also affecting Debian Lenny. When I get roamed to
another access point wpasupplicant(?) fails to authenticate at the AP.
In /var/log/daemon.log I found the following lines:

Jan  7 15:01:36 ian NetworkManager: <info>  (wlan0): supplicant connection
state:  completed -> associating
Jan  7 15:01:36 ian NetworkManager: <info>  (wlan0): supplicant connection
state:  associating -> associated
Jan  7 15:01:40 ian NetworkManager: <debug> [1262872900.003604]

state:  disconnected -> scanning
Jan  7 15:02:10 ian NetworkManager: <info>  (wlan0): supplicant connection
state:  scanning -> associated
Jan  7 15:02:10 ian NetworkManager: <info>  (wlan0): supplicant connection
state:  associated -> disconnected
Jan  7 15:02:10 ian NetworkManager: <info>  (wlan0): supplicant connection
state:  disconnected -> scanning

... with the last three lines repeated again and again without success.
(I'm using network-manager 0.7.1-1~bpo50+1 from backports.org).

I've now solved the problem by providing the BSSID 00:0B:0E:23:F5:0B in the
network-manager settings, which apparently prevents any roaming attempts.

Regards
  Micha
