Dear Daniel,

I sent an e-mail to the Debian bug tracker about a new version of
the World English Bible (WEB) module almost three years ago.
Unfortunately, no one seems to have done anything about it.

I have therefore packaged a newer version of the WEB module, version
1.8, and placed it on the ZAP Group package repository. Could you
(or someone else) please take this and incorporate it into an
official Debian package?

You can find the relevant files at:

ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/debian/dists/zapgroup-sid/main/source/sword-text-web_1.8-0.2zg1.dsc

ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/debian/dists/zapgroup-sid/main/source/sword-text-web_1.8.orig.tar.gz

ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/debian/dists/zapgroup-sid/main/source/sword-text-web_1.8-0.2zg1.diff.gz

ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/debian/dists/zapgroup-sid/main/binary-amd64/sword-text-web_1.8-0.2zg1_all.deb

Alternatively, you can use the following lines in /etc/apt/sources.list:

  deb ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/ubuntu zapgroup-sid main restricted
  deb-src ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/ubuntu zapgroup-sid main restricted

You can replace "zapgroup-sid" with "zapgroup-lenny" or
"zapgroup-karmic" as appropriate.

Yours truly,

John Zaitseff
