you reported that viruskiller stores its configuration in ~/config. I cannot reproduce this issue here: the configuration is stored in ~/.parallelrealities/viruskiller on my computer. Does the problem still occur on your system with the latest version of viruskiller (1.0-1.dfsg.1-0.2 from lenny, squeeze or sid).
