Package: mozilla-noscript
Version: 1.9.9.27-1
Severity: normal

debian packages strive to offer the source code in the preferred form
for modification. mozilla-noscript currently ships the bulk of its
source in a ziparchive-with-a-tarball. (chrome/noscript.jar)

It would be easier to modify the source if that file was itself
unpacked. As a side benefit, it would be easier to view changes
between versions in the git repository as well.

Since the "upstream source" is already re-packed in order to meet
debian technical restrictions, it would be nice to make the re-packing
more inline with debian policy as well, to provide a fully-editable,
non-nested archive.

To fix this:

 * modify the ../mozilla-noscript-_%.orig.tar.gz target in
debian/rules to include unpacking and removing noscript.jar

 * in the build step, re-build noscript.jar after patches have been
   applied

Thanks,

        --dkg
