Package: mingetty
Version: 1.07-1
Severity: important

Using the Option --noclear UTF-8 support is broken, e.g. if I edit
files, non-ASCII characters are displayed funnily. Switching to a VT
without this option, the file displays fine, so the correct sequences
are sent to the editor but fail to be displayed.

Severity might be normal, but given that --noclear is a major option
I decided to use important.

A while ago I tried to contact upstream about this issue but failed to find
a working e-mail address.
