Could you please send me the output of the following command:

cat /proc/cpuinfo |grep -i ^flags

Rakarrack's upstream developer Josep pointed me out this issue may be related
to an i386 cpu which doesn't support the Streaming SIMD Extensions (SSE) flag
in the version it is set during the compilation. If so, we can improve the
configure script to do a proper check and avoid this for the next versions.
