thanks for pointing that out.

To me the interesting problem seems to be knowing which command to run on
the other end, after all it could be a heterogeneous cluster.  But I guess
that isn't the common case and it seems like an easy win would be to just
substitute chkconfig for update-rc.d if the calling machine is running Debian.
