Package: pyxdg Severity: normal Two precisions. First, I hope I chose the right severity for the bug; it seems to me that not respecting the spec in this sem-corner case is really bad for the official XDG Python package.
Second, I changed os.getenv('HOME') to os.path.expanduser('~') because $HOME is not guaranteed to work in every situation, whereas getent (in shell) and expanduser (in Python) are.
