I checked in safe mode, and I got this message from the Error Console : Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80630002 [nsIFormHistory2.addEntry]" nsresult: "0x80630002 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://browser/content/search/search.xml :: handleSearchCommand :: line 443" data: no] I assume this is it. However, this message appears only when I click on the... *loupe* on the right of the field, the Enter key doesn't do anything. Simon
