It doesn't fail on buildds, and it doesn't fail on my pbuilder either. This definitely can't be serious. Now, what would be very useful is to known: 1. whether you can reproduce 2. when that happens, where it hangs. For that attaching gdb to the hanging process (it will most likely be a xpcshell process) and get a backtrace.
