Package: iptables Version: 1.4.4-2 Severity: minor -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
The ip6tables(8) manpage contains many examples that actually use iptables, some even refer to IPv4 addreses, for example: iptables -A INPUT -s 192.168.0.0/16 -m comment --comment "A privatized IP block" Obviously these should be adapted to IPv6. The example above is particulary interesting because "private" IP ranges are rather different from IPv4. One of the goals of IPv6 is to avoid the need for private ranges. - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages iptables depends on: ii libc6 2.10.2-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries iptables recommends no packages. iptables suggests no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkuQ33kACgkQIhQIPPgOSvexrQCggKctctqypKYWnoaTjp2B10OU S7QAn10iZpzw5QTMKOQ8CDHQ0s++YoWw =nrdW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
