Package: amanda-common
Severity: normal

Hi.

I believe that the backup user is not reserved to amanda (otherwise I'd expect
it to be named amanda-something).

If amanda requires it to be in disk and tape groups upon install, I think it
shouldn't remove it from these groups on purge.

An admin may have decided to continue using the backup user even after amanda
is removed, and removing it unconditionally may lead to preventing other backup
programs to work.

Thaks in advance.

Best regards,
