I can't really test it since I don't have the problematic file names
anymore, but I notice that this exact same bug was actually reported 2005-11-08:

And fixed in version V6.14.03, 2006-02-12. So I'm guessing it's probably
fine.
And I reported it 2007-02-20.
I see we have a new maintainer, so I guess we'll have more uptodate
versions now.
