With proper split you mean packages for all modules? Note
that at least some modules (core, dgraft, effectv, frei0r,
kdenlive, normalize, oldfilm, plus, vmfx, xine), do not pull
dependencies, so there is no need to separate them. avformat,
gtk2, jackrack, sdl, sox, qimage seem to be the hogs.


Yes and the listed modules are realy enough.

Sorry I still do not see a realy good reason to split up the package again. In your case, I think those 33 mbyte qt libraries won't hurt you :<
