But the alternative split does not solve the circular dependency issues (the whole point of the even more drastic split was solely to avoid dependency on gnustep-gui which pulls in X, image libraries, etc; IOW useless stuff for a server). So even if you had chosen that way, the problem would be still present... I think the only viable solution is to persuade upstream to modify EOAccess to fail gracefully if no adaptor is found (and complain loudly via NSLog or friends). That way, libgnustep-dl2-0 can only Recommends: the alternative adaptors.
