Hi, thx. for your information.. seems that save_env on a lvm isn't supported, though i couldn't find documentation on this. Some quick testing with save_env, edit_env and the grub-editenv tool all showed the very same result: saving fails without raising any error.
I suggest adding a warning about this in the documentation and close the bug.
