Yes; it seems to fix the problem in question.

I'm a bit ambivalent at getting warnings for things like “aptitude
full-upgrade 'nvidia-kernel-173.14.09&m'” (it complains it's a virtual
package), but that's non-fatal and probably a separate bug in either aptitude
or pkgsync. :-)
