So those are not the same. The one is local X, the other one remote. That probably causes different behavviour (OOo checks what capabilities the X you use has). A sane test here would be to use them both in the same X. In this case upstream suggests this (at lesst) has to do with XRender enabled or not. Grüße/Regards, René -- .''`.
