Package: visitors

Version: 0.7-4

Severity: normal

I have a web server that answers requests from our LAN.

I am sure only GNU/Linux and version XP of "that other OS" were on the LAN

(school was out).

Here is a snip from the output of visitors:

It seems to me that visitors is giving priority to Apple or Safari over
Chrome

in the determination of browser.

A manual grep for "Chrome" from the access.log gives lines like:

192.168.0.29 - - [31/Mar/2010:14:01:24 -0500] "GET /index.html HTTP/1.1"

304 - " -" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US)

AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko ) Chrome/5.0.307.11 Safari/532.9"

Safari may be able to run on GNU/Linux using Wine but that is not the case
here.
