Package: stompserver Version: 0.9.9-1 Severity: normal If I do /etc/init.d/stompserver restart (as logrotate does), I get this:
root:/# /etc/init.d/stompserver restart Restarting stompserver: stompserverChanging group to stompserver. Changing user to stompserver. failed! root:/# less /etc/init.d/stompserver However, if I do a stop, and then a start, I don't see that error. Its possible that there needs to be a short sleep period after the stop is issued and before the start is issued? I notice in the restart|force-reload block of the initscript the following: restart|force-reload) log_daemon_msg "Restarting $DESC" "$NAME" errcode=0 stop_server || errcode=$? [ -n "$DIETIME" ] && sleep $DIETIME start_server || errcode=$? However, there is no DIETIME set anywhere. micah -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-3-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
